Sugar Creek Apartments, led by William Henson, has acquired the acreage block from Fred Caldwell, trustee. The land is part of Steeplechase Park 3 near FM 1960. According to a press release, the plan is to develop apartments.

Keith P. Grothaus of Houston-based Caldwell Watson Real Estate Group represented the seller. The Caldwell Watson firm is owned by seller, Fred Caldwell and Dynegy chairman and CEO Chuck Watson. Pamela Henson of Bill D. Shipwash Real Estate represented the buyer in the land transaction.

In an unrelated land sale, the father-and-son team of Larry A. Dugat Jr. and Larry A. Dugat Sr., purchased 1.74 acres at Eagle Drive, also in northwest Houston. The parcel is located near Keith Harrow Drive and FM 1960. Mack Estes and Robert R. Davis, both of Houston sold the tract to the Dugats in a deal orchestrated by Doug Nicholson of the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co.
