Noble Fool Theater Company will divide the 8,000 sf complex into three stages with seating for more than 255 patrons. The new space was designed by Chicago-based Morris Architects/Planners.
The non-profit Noble Fool also received a $125,000 Tourism Attraction Development grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs. After spending seven years at the Royal George Theater complex on the Near North Side, the company has been performing temporarily at 8 E. Randolph St.
The city has earmarked more than $50 million to revitalize the theater district.
