Salamone is switching from Chicago-based Heitman Properties LTD to the Orlando division of Atlanta-based Carter & Associates-Oncor where he takes on the title of vice president.

The 45-year-old, Syracuse, NY-born broker handled Heitman Properties LTD's 11-building, 800,000-sf Orlando Central Park portfolio and the 3.4-million-sf Miami International Center in Miami-Dade County's Airport West submarket.

"That property was called The Beast by almost everyone because of its almost unmanageable size," Salamone tells GlobeSt.com. He brought the asset up to 92% occupancy from 72% in 4 1/2 years. He was with Heitman in Orlando and Miami from 1991 to 1997.

Salamone previously worked for Corporex Realty Investment Services Corp., Covington, KY, which has several Orlando properties including the 711,000-sf Corporex Distribution Center, and Beeline Distribution Centers 1 and 2 (Orlando Central Park 1 and 2).

From 1988 to 1990, Salamone handled marketing and leasing for Danies Properties, Orlando, at the 282-acre Cypress Park where he leased a total 300,000 sf of industrial and increased occupancy to 91% from 79%.

He is a former wine marketing specialist with National Distribution Co. Inc., Orlando; PRP Wine International and OPICI Wine Co., both in Miami.

With his singing career, he has had numerous professional bookings over the years with leading Orlando hotels and clubs. He performs April 29 at the $37 million, 250-room Westin-Grand Bohemian Hotel in Downtown Orlando.

Carter is rebuilding its brokerage division after six professionals recently left to join the Orlando office of Atlanta-based Advantis Real Estate Services Co. They are Greg Morrison, brothers Tom and Jeff McFadden, Tim Perry, Lisa Bailey and Robert R. Kellogg.
