Trophy retail properties throughout South Florida have gone for $100-plus per sf in the past two years, according to real estate recordings in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
West Palm Beach, FL-based Equity Trust Group sold the center to Sunrise, FL-based Jefferson Square Inc. The 17.73-acre property is at 5700 Okeechobee Blvd., 70 miles north of Downtown Miami.
Brokers Mark and David Lasman, a father-son team and Arnie Zimmerman in the Fort Lauderdale office of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. handled the transaction. The Lasmans represented the seller; Zimmerman, the buyer.
