Collateral's president/CEO David A. Roberts, who has been positioning his company as a market leader for the past 18 months, recruited Rawlings from Richmond, VA where he was vice president of Kasper Mortgage Capital.
In his new position, Rawlings is responsible for all areas of mortgage lending including credit analysis, loan underwriting, loan closing, renovation and construction loans, asset management and loan origination.
Rawlings is also a former vice president at Dynex Commercial Inc. in Glen Allen, VA where he closed $350 million in construction/permanent loans and wrote the first underwriting guidelines for construction lending at that company.
Rawlings is a James Madison University graduate with a bachelor of science degree from the Harrisonburg, VA school. He is considered an expert in immediate funding, forward commitment and tax exempt bond credit enhancement transactions, according to a prepared statement from Roberts.
