The work was done for Lincoln by Gale Construction Co., until recently known as Gale & Wentworth Construction Services, based in Florham Park, NJ. According to Gale Construction president Thomas J. Walsh, the project at the three-story building involved a partial demolition that took the building down to its structural steel and floors. The Grad Partnership designed the upgrade.

According to Walsh, "the construction process entailed replacing the facility's original stucco facade with a glass curtain wall system. The facility also received a new roof system, interior stairway, upgraded common area, elevator upgrades and an HVAC upgrade."

Gale Construction has been involved in a number of New Jersey upgrades in recent years, including a 400,000-sf computer center for CitiGroup in Englewood Cliffs and a 75,000-sf office building in Parsippany for CB Richard Ellis. Gale also did the 220,000-sf Murray Hill Technology Center in New Providence.

The project has, in effect, "created a new development in the Meadowlands marketplace," says Lincoln Property Co. vice president Michael A. Taylor. The Texas-based company has its New Jersey offices in Edison.
