The Muellers are asking the court to enforce the sale. They also are seeking unspecified damages.
American, which has no immediate comment, at the 11th hour pulled the plug on the sale. The day it was scheduled to sell the resort, it announced instead that it is selling its Heavenly Ski Resort on the California-Nevada border to Vail Resorts Inc. With the sale to Vail, it decided to keep Steamboat.
