Crossmark currently is headquartered in Plano, but leases roughly 80,000 sf at the Billingsley Cos. at 6400 International Parkway. Crossmark is an international sales and marketing organization representing packaged-goods manufacturers such as Pillsbury and Gerber. Crossmark's field reps operate in North America, Australia, New Zealand and Papua, New Guinea. "It's one of the few firms in today's challenging economic times that is continuing to grow," Rob Pipkin of Dallas-based Mohr Partners Inc. tells GlobeSt.com. Talks, in fact, are under way to acquire a company in Great Britain.

Mohr Partners handled Crossmark's site search and land transaction in the Collin County area. In mid-2001, the team zeroed in on a parcel not on the market and owned by the high-rolling EDS. Crossmark announced a deal was in the works, but the land sale just passed the closing table and jumpstarted construction. Pipkin and Bob Mohr negotiated for Crossmark's Legacy Business Park address while Marilyn Kasko, Legacy's director, represented EDS at the bargaining table.

Delivery will be in early 2003. Dallas-based Staubach Co. is overseeing the development side of the deal. Crossmark will be joining a corporate headquarters roster that includes EDS and JCPenney, two of the five largest publicly held companies in the metroplex, plus Frito Lay, Alcatel, Dr Pepper/7-UP, Costco Wholesale and Countrywide.
