Hartman is managing director of Atlanta-based Six Continents Hotels, Asia Pacific division.

A hospitality industry professional for 35 years, Hartman is credited with his company's acquisition of the Hong Kong Resort, now Hotel Inter-Continental Hong Kong. The transaction, for an undisclosed price and terms, is believed to be the largest hotel property deal in Asia Pacific, according to a Six Continents' prepared statement.

Hartman is also credited with pioneering hotel development concepts in Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia with minimal investment by using joint venture management companies during the 1990s.

In an unrelated company move, Craig R. Mueller, former principal of the lodging and leisure group for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments Inc., is the new vice president/development for the Northeastern and Midwestern regions at Six Continents Hotels Inc.

Mueller will head a team of franchise sales and real estate development personnel in the areas. He will be responsible for overseeing the regional growth and development for all Six Continents-SM Hotels brands.

Besides Lend Lease, Mueller held senior positions at Deloitte & Touche, the Ritz Carllton Hotel Co. and Laventhol & Horwath.
