The seller of record is GH Tech I LLC, a joint venture between Hewson and New York City-based Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America. Steven Schwarz and Jason Meszaros, both of Hewson Development, represented the seller. Bob Kawa of Robert J. Kawa Co. Inc. negotiated the sale on Catalytica's behalf. Catalytica uses the building to house administrative functions and commercial manufacturing operations.

The sale comes just as Schwarz is promoted to second in command as executive vice president and COO for Hewson. He joined the company in 1995. He previously senior vice president and development director. In his new role, Schwarz will manage Hewson's operations in its home state, California, Utah, Tennessee and Mississippi.
