The lease encompasses about two-thirds of a new 126,484-sf warehouse/distribution building built on spec by the Whitesell Co. of Delran, NJ, who is also the developer of the 700-acre Haines Industrial Center. The property is located near Exit 6A of the New Jersey Turnpike.

The multi-million-dollar deal was arranged for Whitesell by Bill Goodwin, senior vice president, and first vice president Len Redeyoff of the Philadelphia office of CB Richard Ellis. According to Goodwin, "Ta Chen will relocate its northeastern US sales and distribution center to the site from its existing facility in Bensalem Twp., PA."

"The move was the result of our need for a strategically located warehouse facility with a reinforced floor that could accommodate the heavy loads associated with stainless steel sheets and racking," according to Charles Minnick, president of Ta Chen. The company, which has sales and warehousing facilities in a half-dozen US markets, distributes such products as pipe, tubing, cast fittings and valves. It provides "just in time" product inventory to the metal service center and supply house industry.
