Sources familiar with the deal indicate that the company, a government contractor, was eager to move to Fairfax to be in closer proximity to Capitol Hill and its government clientele. The lease is for a 10-year term and BNFL will occupy space on the seventh floor of the 15-story structure. Specific information on the financial terms of the deal was unavailable at press time.
Crystal Gateway I was built in 1981 and offers 314,000 sf of office and ground-floor retail space. Other tenants include McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, Yamada International Corp., the US Army, and the Environmental Protection Agency, which occupies three floors.
