For the last three years, Artope was president of the Dallas-based Navigator Group Inc., a national restaurant and retail consultant. From 1994 to 1999, he was vice president of real estate for CEC Entertainment Inc., where he was responsible for strategic planning and new store development for the Chuck E. Cheese chain.
Artope's current client roster includes Tony Roma's and Florida-based Darden Restaurants, which has been rolling out its concepts at a brisk pace in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for about a year despite the standstill in the economy. In the last six months, Darden introduced its Bahama Breeze concept to North Texas. Artope not only handles Bahama Breeze for Darden, but Red Lobster and Olive Garden as well.
