John Turano & Sons is a leading home furniture importer and distributor, with client relationships with such national and regional retail furniture chains as Seamen's, Levitz and Huffman Koos. The lease marks the company's move of its headquarters and main distribution operations to this Middlesex County community from Brooklyn, NY. John Turano & Sons also has regional distribution centers sited in Hialeah Gardens, FL and City of Industry, CA.

"This transaction will allow John Turano & Sons to continue to effectively grow its business and efficiently operate its warehouse, distribution, showroom and executive office operations," according to Frankel. "We're pleased to have been able to complete this important transaction."

The single-story building, which sits on a 15-acre site, fronts on I-287 in Central New Jersey, not far from the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. It was formerly occupied by Weldotron, a maker of shrink wrap and other packaging systems. The building became available when the former tenant was acquired by an affiliated company, renamed Weldotron 2000 Inc., and its operations were moved to Tennessee.

Owner's rep Newmark JGT, which has offices in Woodbridge and Rutherford, NJ, is part of Newmark & Co. Real Estate. The company is also a member of ONCOR International.
