The project will include a total of 82 one- and two-bedroom independent living residences, along with 70 assisted living units. A medical arts building, expected to be finished early next year, is also part of the development plan.
Paragon Construction Services is building the complex, and the architect of record is Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers of Livingston, NJ. Jarmel Kizel is doing the architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as interior design and structural engineering. The firm also assisted in obtaining the approvals for the project.
Paragon Village, which will have a number of on-site amenities, is located near the Rockefeller Group's sprawling International Trade Center business park and, specifically, ITC Crossing, an 860,000-sf shopping complex under development. "I'm very impressed with what the Rockefeller Group has done with ITC Crossing, so much so that I put Paragon Village right in the shadow of it," says Larry Paragano, Jr., president of N.L. Paragano Associates.
