Nick Gonzales with the Houston office of Cohen Financial's Capital Markets Unit originated the loan. Gonzales could not be reached by press time for comment. The lender was an undisclosed bank.

According to Cohen, the financed property totals 130,015 sf. Published reports put the total retail space at 300,000 sf. The center, delivering later this year, is anchored by a 78,000-sf H-E-B. Retailers Walgreens, Whataburger and Bank of America all have lined up spots in the project while Star Furniture has acquired a five-acre site for a 100,000-sf store. Houston-based Ainbinder Co. is the project developer. Union Bank & Trust of Omaha provided the project's construction financing.
