Shahriar Kasrai, a local businessman, acquired the 1980s structures from Industrial Catering Inc., which has its main operations right across the street. Kasrai's buy is situated on 6.8 acres at 242 and 300 Idlewild, part of the Great Southwest Industrial Park. The buildings come in sizes of 14,376 sf and 27,072 sf.
Spika represented the seller, who is in the midst of downsizing its real estate holdings. Craig Garza of United Dallas Services brokered the transaction on behalf of the buyer, whose other businesses are located in the immediate area. Older product in the Great Southwest has been trading with regularity as business owners look to buy instead of lease due to the favorable lending market and product availability.
