Keith Lloyd with the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co. represented the sublessor. Kevin Poynter of Houston's Mac Haik Management brokered the deal for sublessee. The companies in the Aker Maritime group deliver advanced products and services for oil and gas exploration and production offshore.

Lloyd tells GlobeSt.com that the sublease agreement spans all of SCOR's space in the three-year-old, 326,000-sf building. SCOR is a European insurance conglomerate. The building, owned by Mac Haik Management, is located in the Katy Freeway submarket. Last quarter, Devon Energy also added 170,000 sf of sublease space to the market, according to a report by Grubb & Ellis in a planned move in July to Memorial City Plaza. Direct vacancies in the submarket are a bit over 10%.
