Twenty of the centers are in Colorado, with nine in Washington, one in New Jersey and one in Texas.
''We strongly believe in the franchise concept as the best ownership model for successfully operating great customer service facilities,'' says Tex L. Utsler, president of the company. ''This will allow the company to take advantage of the value created in its company owned operations to streamline our organization and concentrate our focus on the very significant opportunities for growth that currently exists in our industry through building on our existing franchise concept.''
About 35 owners already have franchise agreements with the company. It was founded in 1978 and was publicly traded from 1981 to 1999 before going private again.
