The Core Network has added Attorney James B. Matthews, former president of Prime Locations Consulting Inc., as director of corporate restructurings. His role is to beef up the offerings to include analysis of real estate portfolios; disposition marketing of properties and leases; lease renegotiations; and swift disposition of excess space through a variety of options.
In the past eight years, Matthews and his team have sealed "thousands of deals for numerous companies realizing over $1 billion in savings," says Scott Rickard, Core's president. "Those deals resulted in the timely disposition of more than 35 million sf of real estate." Equally as important, Rickard says the closed deals represent what Matthews brings to the table for Core.
FirstWorthing promoted Sue Spear to senior vice president of accounting for FirstWorthing and its subsidiaries. Debbie Davis is the new executive director of operations, training and marketing and Katie Kolm, director of marketing.
Davis will be formulating a comprehensive marketing and training program for FirstWorthing's property management operations. The 25-year veteran was vice president and chief learning officer at Greystar Real Estate Partners in Dallas. She spent 20 years at Dallas' Lincoln Property Co., where she worked her way up through the ranks with her final post being assistant vice president of marketing and training.
Kolm will work with operations, acquisition and development teams to ensure properties are achieving leasing goals. She was regional marketing manager for Archstone Communities' Central US region.
At Staubach, Michael Stern comes on board as an associate. He was a senior associate at Trammell Crow Co. in Dallas. His client roster includes General Motors, Voicestream Wireless, National Imaging Affiliates and JoeAuto.
