Brandon will manage 12 loan officers that comprise the 22-branch bank. Bank officials are hoping to push its loan-to-deposit ratio from its current 60-40 split to somewhere in the 70-30, 80-20 range. In the mortgage lending business in Clark County, the bank ranks second after Washington Mutual.
Brandon has lived in Clark County for 12 years. His post at Bank of America was senior vice president and client-marketing manager. He left in January. First Independent Bank is owned by the Firstenburg family. The bank reportedly employs 330 people and has assets of $643.6 million.
