Founded in February 2001, Molecular Imprints supplies super-high resolution contact imprint lithography systems to the semiconductor industry. Its equipment prints patterns as small as 100 nanometers on semiconductors. A nanometer is a billionth of a meter. Such small patterns will help make computer chip get smaller and smaller. The company, which spun out of research at the University of Texas, exits the Austin Technology Incubator.

Brian Liverman, an associate with Trammell Crow Co.'s Austin office, represented the building owner, which, according to property tax records, is Aetna Life Insurance Co. Max Moss, a Trammell Crow senior associate, represented Molecular Imprints.

Molecular raised $9.2 million earlier this year in venture capital from Alloy Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Asset Management Co., all based in California. It also has revenue from federal research grants. The company's technology is based on technology developed by UT professors Grant Willson and S.V. Sreenivasan and their students.
