Under the proposal, the complex would consist of 270 affordable housing units, along with 75,000 sf of commercial space including a relocated Supremo market. It would also include more than 750 parking space, most of them in a parking deck.
The latest proposal is actually a slightly scaled back version of an earlier effort by Trujillo to get a similar project into the ground at the site. The redevelopment agency vetoed the earlier version on the basis of strong community opposition.
