The latest effort for the retail push is being lobbed by David Dunning of United Commercial Development, discloses Max Lindsay of Henry S. Miller Commercial in Dallas. He represented the seller, Gelia Estes Coleman, for the northwest corner of Robson Ranch Road and Interstate 35. The buyer of record is Robson Road/I-35 Investors.

Lindsay tells GlobeSt.com that a retail project won't be going up for at least two years since it was forced to return to the drawing boards due to the prior buyer's default on a loan carried by the seller. The property carried a price tag of $2.2 million during its listing.

"When he defaulted, we scurried around and David stepped up," Lindsay says. The Dallas suburb of Sachse, still to the city's north, also has caught a developer's eye. SM Development Corp. of Dallas acquired about 6.9 acres from 78/Hooper Ltd. for development of a strip shopping center and pad sites.

Henry S. Miller Commercial's Tom Grunnah represented the seller of the tract at the crossroads of Texas 78 and Hooper Road. Todd Stein of Jordan Realty Advisors negotiated the terms for the buyer.
