The facility will rise on a currently vacant 12-acre site that adjoins the Garden State Parkway. Two of Premier Sportsplex's three buildings will feature fabric-covered domes that will be connected to the third building, a central complex of steel construction. The latter will have a reception area and offices for the entire complex, a fitness center, pro shop and locker rooms.
Actual construction of the facility depends upon Premier Sports Development's getting the rest of the state and local permits required. According to a spokesman for the developer, an opening for the last quarter of next year is planned.
