"I am entering into a co-development agreement with the Dezer's because I believe this is an amazing tract of beachfront property with phenomenal potential," Trump said shortly after committing his name to the project in December 2001.
Trump's interest in buying into the project--which marked one of his first US licensing agreement--reportedly stems from the success of pre-sales of the condominiums. The 372-room hotel/condo, which will be called Trump International is scheduled for completion in September and will feature, among other amenities, a fitness center, convention facilities, and a restaurant. The structures will sit on an 11-acre parcel that stretches 1,000 feet along the ocean.
