Henry S. Miller Commercial's Dan Spika isn't saying who is close to signing, just that the deal looks like a go. If all goes well, the deal could get signed next week. BAP-Hudson Ltd. purchased the five-acre holding from Stewart & Stevenson Realty Corp., which built a facility in Chalk Hill along Interstate 30. Spika represented the buyers. Bob Hagewood of Dallas-based Staubach Co. negotiated the transaction for the seller.
The property was on the market, with the building standing empty, for about eight months. The asking price was $1.7 million. The 1970s product carries a proposed 2002 assessment of $720,710 while the land is valued at $460,000, according to the Dallas Central Appraisal District.
