Gregory spent eight years with Arthur Andersen and managed the firm's account with Houston-based Hines Interests. In his new capacity, he will be responsible for the financial, accounting, reporting and information technology functions for PM Realty and its affiliates. About 80 people will report to Gregory.
"Roger Gregory has built a strong reputation in the real estate finance and accounting community in Houston and nationally," Rick Kirk, president of PM Realty, said in a prepared statement.
Gregory tells GlobeSt.com that one of his goals is "to ensure that we are not only focusing on base-level tasks, but become better operators than we have been in the past. I plan to apply my experiences and best practices to enable PM Realty Group to be more effective and efficient."
The staff's challenge will be to proactively meet with clients and leasing and property managers to find methods to improve the division. "Even in a lackluster economy, PM Realty Group continues to gain market share," Gregory says of the firm's financial progress.
Gregory has no immediate plans to hire additional staff, but did confide that more personnel is inevitable as the company continues to bring in new accounts. PM Realty's high-priority philosophy about accounting, IT and reporting made the job particularly attractive, he concluded.
