The closing fell within three months of a 5,145-sf office lease by Curtis & Windham Architects of Houston. It has set up shop on the south side of the first floor.

John Parsley and Coy Davidson, both of the Houston office of Colliers International, represented the building owner, 3815 Montrose Blvd. LP. In March, Parsley told GlobeSt.com that the owner acquired the property in a sealed bid process from the state.

The 42-year-old, 28,123-sf building was the former Statesman National Life Insurance building. The state's insurance regulating body occupied the building after Statesman went bankrupt. Parsley said the owners, led by general partner Claude Wynn Interests, succeeded in its bid for the property because it sought to renovate rather than raze the structure and convert it into multi-tenant use. Matt Trozzo of the Houston office of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. negotiated the terms for the tenant.
