First Trenton, which sells and services personal property and casualty insurance in the state of New Jersey, is a 10-year-old company within Travelers Insurance, itself a member of Citigroup. The company signed its original lease in 1992; terms of the new lease were not disclosed.
The tenant was represented in the transaction by Jeffrey Heller and Peter Rossi of Cushman & Wakefield of NJ, East Rutherford. Schenkman/Kushner was represented in-house by Jeffrey Persky and Jonathan Kushner.
"First Trenton's client base and operations have grown significantly since its inception, and 3 Century Dr. provided an opportunity for expansion at a financially compelling rate," according to Heller. The three-story, 70,000-sf asset is currently leased to a tenant roster that includes Pfizer, Sonoco Products and Converse Consultants.
