Dallas County Judge Bob Jenevien will hear the Bethesda, MD-based LaSalle's case for a writ for an expeditious decision from a justice of the peace and one that upholds to the fullest extent a May 13 district court ruling enabling LaSalle to remove the London-based operator from the Pearl Street hotel. "We want to get this settled," Michael Barnello, LaSalle's COO, stresses to GlobeSt.com.
Monday's session lasted nearly two hours, but Barnello says the outcome fell short of LaSalle's expectations to evict Le Meridien sooner rather than later. LeMeridien has been pushing the court system to find ways to stave its appeal hearing until November.
