"This complex project encompasses the conversion of the warehouse facility into office space suitable for a biotech company," confirms Carlos J. Silva, founder and CEO of Elizabeth, NJ-based Silcon Inc., which is serving as the general contractor for the design/build project. "The project includes a complete renovation of the façade, new widows, interior build-out of offices, cafeteria and all common areas."

The architect for the project is Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers of Livingston, NJ. Completion is slated for late summer/early fall.

ImClone Systems, of course, is a biopharm company involved in biologic medicines in the area of oncology. The New York City-based company has a pilot manufacturing facility adjacent to its new offices on Chubb Way, and plans to construct a larger manufacturing facility nearby.
