The city plans to construct a new civic campus in the center of the Sammamish on city-owned property along 228th Avenue Southeast. The city council unanimously voted that the 30-acre site is the best location for a new city hall, but has not decided what else to build.
The city and its master plan consultant team will hold meetings this summer to assess what residents want and how they feel the city hall and community center should be built. The city has allocated $7 million to build a city hall and an additional $2 million for park improvements to the property.
