"This new facility allows Veridian to consolidate four business units, while reducing overall rental costs by 25%," Advantis Real Estate Services Co.'s Bruce McNair explains. Advantis represented Veridian while Insignia/ESG brokered for the building's owner, Washington, DC-based BECO Group. In addition to its Virginia locations, Veridian maintains offices in cities across 19 states. Herndon Square, which was known as Huntmar Corporate Park until 1991, offers an aggregate 260,000 sf.

The complex consists of a three-story low-rise structure and five single-story R&D structures. The terms of Veridian's lease are not available, but property manager Marjorie Atya tells GlobeSt.com that Veridian's space is on a triple-net lease and "is basically a shell, it's not a full-service office building setting."
