The 31-acre site is actually three separate tracts owned by local businessman Pat Tammaro, who operates a distribution business on one tract totaling about one-third of the land total. The remaining two tracts are undeveloped, and the pending land sale is said to be contingent upon approval of the zoning change.
Other than a general proposal for 250 units renting for an average of $1,500 per month, details of the proposed project have not been released. Other issues for the project include wetlands restrictions and opposition from local community groups.
