On July 19, GlobeSt.com printed a story that read "Newmark Taps 12 Studley Brokers for L.A.," and inaccurately reported that Newmark had hired 12 brokers from Studley's Southern California offices. The fact is that six brokers moved from Studley to Newmark in Southern California.
Contrary to quotes in the press by Newmark, none of the brokers who left were ranked in the top 10 in Studley's Southern California region based on their 2000 and 2001 production, and only one of the brokers who left was ranked in the Southern California region's top 20 for that period.
