The firm has been in the 18-year-old building for more than 10 years, Brad Marnitz with the Houston office of NAI Partners Commercial tells GlobeSt.com. He says the attorneys seriously considered a sublease option as well as other space. Natural rent increases continued to up the firm's lease costs so a search was undertaken along with an analysis of moving costs and rents for comparable office space in other areas of town. The final decision was "the premium was justifiable," he says.

Connecticut General Life Insurance Co. is the owner of the five-story, 170,578-sf building. It was purchased in 1991 from the Paragon Group, according to Harris County tax records. Eric Anderson of Houston's Transwestern Properties represented the building owner.
