Construction is Underway for 65,000 SF Industrial Building

MCST's facility will be the third built by Barrett at the site, and the second for a preferred affiliate. The initial building, completed less than two years ago was a 132,180-sf refrigeration/freezer facility for Summit Imports, an Asian food distributor. And late last year, Barrett completed a 137,000-sf frozen food warehouse and corporate office for Preferred Freezer Services.

MCST is the transportation logistics arm of Preferred Freezer Services, and its new transportation terminal will be located directly across from Preferred's headquarters. The facility, which is expected to be ready early next year, will operate as a nationwide distribution center for inter-city deliveries, specialized distribution and long-haul services.

Greenville Yards is located within a designated foreign-trade zone and an urban enterprise zone, both of which offer tax benefits and financial incentives. Nearby corporate entities include BMW of North America, Tropicana Products, Port Jersey Logistics and Global Marine Terminal.
