The Lincoln, RI-based insurance company will use the location for a regional office and claims center in an expansion move to take the local head count to 65, Riis Christensen, managing director in Dallas for the Houston-based Transwestern Commercial Services, tells GlobeSt.com. He spent the last nine months looking for an office that met his client's needs as well as a location centrally located for the current staff. One Legacy Town Center's location at the intersection of the George Bush Tollway and Texas 121 helped to sew up the deal. "That's really where they wanted to be," Christensen says.
Naturally, the hard sell by Lincoln's David Reed didn't hurt. "Lincoln was aggressive in meeting Amica's needs from an economic standpoint and flexibility standpoint," Christensen explains. Just how "aggressive" is one for the confidentiality clause.
Amica will be taking over the entire fifth floor in the relocation from about 14,000 sf in the Centre at Midway Road and LBJ Freeway in Dallas. Lincoln's two-building office complex has Killion McCabe Associates as the lead tenant in the 153,766-sf One Legacy Town Center at 7160 Dallas Parkway.
