The Tampa-born Piper will handle leasing and tenant representation in his new position. At Duke, he oversaw leasing activity for a 1.3-million-sf office and industrial portfolio in metro Tampa.
Among his clients were Coca-Cola Enterprises, Nationwide Insurance, Home Depot and Centex Homes.
At Grubb & Ellis/Tampa, Piper represented Met Life, Estee Lauder and Verizon Wireless.
He has been a commercial real estate professional for six years after graduating from Vanderbilt University where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a master's in institutional advancement.
