Olympia plans a Walgreen's pharmacy, an Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar and a retail strip center on the land, which is within the 12-acre, Thornton at Maxham Park mixed-use property under development. BB's Steak and Seafood restaurant is a tenant.

The park is at the intersection of Thornton and Maxham Roads, about three miles north of I-20 and has direct access to Westfork Boulevard.William R. Johnson of locally based Richard Bowers & Co. is the exclusive representative for the park and negotiatied for DSR.

In a printed statement, Johnson says the intersection is "rapidly becoming the key retail location within the Thornton Road corridor." In addition to exposure to both major thoroughfares, he cites "significant traffic" on the new road that connects the two through the park.

Four parcels remain available in the park at asking prices that range from $350,000 to $650,000.
