C&W's new high-tech infrastructure program is offering a range of real estate services to government, private and academic research organizations and corporations looking to develop R&D or high-tech pilot and production facilities. As secretary of commerce, he managed a budget of $50 million and a combined staff of more than 200. He was the Whitman administration's point person for the business incentive, finance and regulatory programs that make up the state's core economic development policy. Immediately prior to joining C&W, he was acting CEO, president and general counsel for Arcanum Discovery Inc., a start-up protein-based drug company.
