AIT Worldwide Logistics Services cut a mid-term lease for 36,619 sf, a deal that brings a relocation from within the Grapevine submarket. The leading transportation solutions provider will move in Nov. 1 to a 102,450-sf structure at 601 Westport Parkway.

Earlier this month, Sears Logistics Services signed for 94,905 sf in the development. The park's other tenant's are Panalpina, an intercontinental air logistics operator, and Corinthian Industries, an Australian-based door manufacturer.

Terry Madl, AIT's director of corporate development, handled negotiations for the tenant. Madl said Oakmont's "aggressive pursuit" and the ability to upgrade helped push the deal to a close. The relocation was sweetened by a new strategic venture with Panalpina. "The proximity to our partner will provide a big advantage," he said in a press release.

Steve Nelsen, Oakmont's executive vice president, and Dave Anderson of CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s Dallas office brokered the deal for Oakmont. Nelson said the lease was negotiated and signed in 1 1/2 weeks.
