Meanwhile, Hidden Lakes subdivision is waiting on approval from the MDEQ for a permit to fill in wetlands for a roadway and the project itself, as well as possible commercial buildings, on the 5.6-acre property in Bedford Township.

Additionally, Bella Vista Development is asking to fill in wetlands near Elizabeth Lake for a condominium project in Northville Township.

Also, the city of Parchment, MI is hoping for a grant from the MDEQ of $100,000 to fund demolition at the former Crown Vantage property located at the corner of Riverview Street and Commerce Lane. Paper mill operations resulted in contamination. A mixed-use commercial development will be built at the site, city officials say.
