However, the Mechanical Contractors Association is moving from the Merchandise Mart to a 4,706-sf tower location at 221 N. LaSalle St. in a sublease deal that tenant representatives Equis Corp. says is $8 per sf below market rent, with sublessor Builders Bank abating six months of rent payments.

Equis senior vice president Kevin Duckler and associate Joseph Zona represented the Mechanical Contractors Association while associate vice president David Herbert represented Apex Venture Partners in negotiations with John Dempsey of CB Richard Ellis, who represented Lend Lease Real Estate Investment.
