"The plant is expected to be up and running next spring," Oldcastle's Bill Dausch tells GlobeSt.com. Steel Building Specialists Inc. out of Baltimore has signed on as contractor on the development, which will sit on a 100-acre parcel of land. Despite the size of the sprawling property Dausch says the company has no plans to relocate its Towson, MD-based local corporate headquarters to the site at this point.
Regarding structural additions to the property, Dausch explains "there are no plans at the moment, but there is room for expansion." Soon after completion of the new facility, Oldcastle will shutter the doors of its Curtis Bay and Odenton plants in Anne Arundel County, where workers produce precast wall panels and hollow core plank.
