In their new roles, Stoner and Shlaes will offer advice to corporations, real estate operating companies and investors, according to FPL Associates. Stoner and Shlaes spent 14 years each with embattled Andersen. They bring along Mary Machalski, formerly a senior consultant in Andersen's Chicago office, as a director.
Stoner is the only two-time winner of the Apgar award, given by the International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives for published research.
