Majesty was originally scheduled for completion in May of this year at an estimated development cost of $200 per sf. The building's steel skirt is at the 14-story level with no interior construction under way.

The highly visible project off Interstate 4 has been planned for the past eight years. When completed, the tower would be the tallest edifice in Seminole County, seven miles from Downtown Orlando.

The tallest office tower in Central Florida is the 35-story, 750,000-sf, 444-foot-high SunTrust Center at 200 S. Orange Ave. in Downtown Orlando. Chicago entrepreneur Sam Zell owns the structure.

The Orlando office of Sweden-based Beers Skanska Inc. is Majesty's general contractor. Bowers and Skanska officials couldn't be reached to learn a new anticipated completion date or how much additional money he needs to finish the job.

Besides the administrative and production offices of Bowers' TV station, WACX-Channel 55, Majesty Building is expected to house an undetermined amount of leased retail and office. Farmer Baker Barrios Architects/Orlando is the project architect.

Bowers' SuperChannel Centre Inc.'s Web site calls the venture "a miracle in the making."
