The city says the RRT's mission is to act as the internal advocate for the business, identifying any regulatory issues before construction begins and finding solutions that help businesses complete their projects on time and within budget. "Our goal is to streamline the permitting process," says a city news release.
The RRT has already begun working with several companies, including Teeny Foods, a baking company that will be relocating to 45,000 sf at Columbia Gorge Corporate Center, and NW Handling Systems, makers of loading dock equipment, which has purchased about 9 acres at 181st and Sandy en route to a 30,000-sf facility.
