Both hotels have large conference facilities. The Humber Royal has afunction room that can hold 300 people and another smaller function roomwith space for up to 100. The Humber Crown has one 100-capacity functionroom and two with seating for 50 people each.
The hotels were both owned by ex-miner Gordon Shepherd who bought them in2000 for about £3 million ($4.6 million) and now is retiring. Christie & Cowas the agent.
